My journey has not been ‘traditional’... and it never will be. I’ve been telling stories since before I could pick up a pen and this has led to me writing copy and content for various companies (including online coaches, wedding magazines, and even an interactive video game) for the past seven years.

Formerly, I also ran an online coaching business (Paperback Kingdom - 2017 - 2022) where I helped mentor authors through writing, publishing and launching their books, and was briefly brought on board by a Canadian hybrid publisher to assist authors across ANZ with their go-to-market strategies for their books.

I am a HUGE advocate for the indie route – for breaking the rules of how things have *typically* been done and doing it your way, for creating multiple income streams through your skills and body of work, and for getting yourself some marketing and sales skills that will serve you your entire career.

I still offering mentorship through my bi-weekly newsletter, The Retelling, where I 'retell' my real time entrepreneurial journey and share marketing, monetisation and business lessons as a multi-format writer and storyteller.

In terms of my books, I now write fairytale retellings and am best known for my dual retelling of Snow White and The Little Mermaid, KINGDOM OF SIRENS AND MONSTERS (formally published under pen name, Tara Quinn).

My stories are dark fantasies disguised as complex, epic love stories, following protagonists as they uncover their true (magical) identity, with a healthy sprinkle of morally grey characters and (more recently) spice.
