Dark fantasy author + authorpreneur redefining the book business…

Hi, I’m Pagan, and I’m a fairy tale retelling author best known for my dual retelling of Snow White and The Little Mermaid, KINGDOM OF SIRENS AND MONSTERS.

After signing with two traditional publishers, my author journey quickly turned into its own twisted fairytale as I fell in love with the ‘stigmatised’ side of publishing (AKA: self-publishing)... left my publisher in 2020, and never looked back.

Now a serial entrepreneur and HUGE advocate for the indie route (aka: breaking the rules and doing it your way), I believe in creating multiple income streams through your skills and body of work—which has also led to me writing articles, emails and website copy for online businesses over the years (TL;DR? I've been getting paid to write cool shit since 2017).

My books are dark fantasies disguised as complex, epic love stories, following protagonists as they uncover their true (magical) identity, with a healthy sprinkle of morally grey characters and (more recently) spice.

7 Vampire Books That Should Be On Your TBR

There’s often debate in the reader space about whether duologies or trilogies are better, but personally, I just feel like they’re different reading experiences. I love reading a good trilogy, but I often find myself a victim of the ‘filler middle book’ in an effort to stretch a series to be longer than it needs […]
